Nina has over 20 years experience managing complex projects in large organizations and
non-profits.  She brings empathy, great organizational skills, a love for getting things
accomplished and an upbeat sense of humor to her work assisting boomers and seniors who
are downsizing and moving to new homes.  She has training and experience in interior design
including  a certificate in residential interior design from Canada College. For those boomers
and seniors who want to make changes to their current homes so that they can live at home in
the future, Nina provides accessible design consulting with a focus on designing living spaces
that are safe and appealing. Nina is a certified senior relocation and transition specialist and a
member of NASMM.  Earlier in Nina's career, she taught special education and developed the
skill of encouraging individuals to complete tasks that they found difficult.  She uses this skill
as she helps her clients work through the process of what to take and keep as they make
transitions to smaller, simplified homes. Nina received an MBA from UCLA and an MA in
Special Education from San Francisco State University.

Nina was working full time when she had to suddenly relocate to a different city, find a local
memory care facility for her mother and clean out her mother's home.  It took 2 months to
sort through 38 years worth of accumulated possessions and then another 3 months to
supervise the renovation of the house so that it could be sold to finance her mother's care.
Finally, she was able to move her mother to a memory care facility in San Francisco and to
move herself back to San Francisco.  She understands from personal experience that
downsizing and moving is a very difficult process that requires emotional support as well as
guidance.  She is committed to providing support to her clients and their adult children to
ensure that these transitions are as stress free as possible and that her clients feel empowered
and in control of the process.
